On Saturday November 12th, Hillels of Westchester students helped greet and register over 400 community guests for Westchester Jewish Council's 2nd annual Evening of Jewish Learning. It was the second Jewish community-wide event this Fall that Hillels of Westchester supported, the first being the JCC- Mid Westchester's "Day of Chesed." This is another example of how we try to give back to the community that supports us. While Hillel students also participate in food and clothing drives for the homeless, helping with local jewish community events is also a part of our commitment. Our next volunteer effort will be UJA Federation of New York's Super Sunday phone-a-thon.
