Rebecca "Beka" Breitzer and Sarah Loeb

Hillel Co-Chairs at Sarah Lawrence College

Beka Breitzer, currently the co-chair of Hillel at SLC and the women leadership grant intern at SLC, has been an active member of Hillels of Westchester since 2008, her first year of college. Originally from Okemos, Michigan (outside of East Lansing, home of Michigan State University), Beka has spent her time in New York studying economics and labor relations at Sarah Lawrence College as well as one year as a visiting student at Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations. Graduating in May, Beka hopes to enter the world of "real work" as an HR manager or consultant. Her hobbies include singing, reading, spending time with family and friends, and Tikkun Olam (repairing the world).

Sarah Loeb hails from Chicago and is studying psychology. She is also participating in the Sarah Lawrence Art of Teaching Program. Regarding her plans, "I am hoping to one day be a preschool teacher and art therapist. I enjoy working with children at a Jewish overnight summer camp in Wisconsin and spending time with my family and dog! I am proud to be the co-chair of Hillel at SLC this year, and am looking forward to contributing to Hillel's mission."
