ISRAEL AND BIRTHRIGHT

Birthright is a free, 10-day experience for Jewish young adults between 18-32 years old.  Various providers offer different experiences, from the traditional to secular.  HOW trips are through Israel Outdoors and itineraries include:

Visits to Israel’s main sites including the Dead Sea, the Kotel (Western Wall) in Jerusalem, Masada, the Golan Heights, Tel Aviv, Machane Yehuda market

(Jerusalem), and Carmel market (Tel Aviv)

Multiple easy- to mid-range hikes/outdoor excursions (i.e., rafting)

Opportunities to explore the nightlife in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv

Social service projects and other excursions unique to our trips.

Registration for our winter trip is open now!

HOW offers two Birthright trips per year – winter (late December through early January) and summer (typically leaving on/about Memorial Day).  Trips are open to our students, as well as Westchester residents (regardless of attendance at one of our colleges) and their friends/family.  Siblings and cousins often join our trips to enjoy this once in a lifetime experience together.

HOW Israel Mission & Vision:

Hillels of Westchester strives to foster deep connections for all students in America to Judaism through the land, State and people of Israel.  Using the distinctions of Eretz Yisrael (land of Israel), Medinat Yisrael (state of Israel) and Am Yisrael (people of Israel), campus programs will be specific to each community served.
